Science

Each year we do a lot of experiments for Discover Primary Science.

Mrs Connaughton brought in an incubator and we hatched duck eggs.

We set 20 eggs in the incubator.

After a few weeks Ms Harlow showed us how to check the eggs for baby ducklings.

She bought in a flashlamp.

She place an egg on a cardboard box that had an oval shape cut out of one of the sides.

She placed an egg on on the box and put a flashlight under it.

We could see the dark shape of the baby ducklings in the fertile eggs.

We hatched 18 baby ducklings.

We had great fun.

The ducklings were very cute.

We could hear them chirping when the eggshells started to crack.

It was cool to see a baby duckling come out of its egg in school.
