The senior pupils will visit Ericsson on the 15th May. This is in conjunction with our Discover Primary Science + Maths Award. Huge gratitude to Seamus Molloy for setting up this exciting trip for the pupils.

Martin Curley, Historian, has been visiting the senior pupils on Tuesday mornings during Nov/Dec and teaching the pupils about genealogy and the pupils have been investigating their own family history.

Green Schools- Marine Environment
Dr. David McGrath visited our school on Tuesday 25th September. David is a Marine Biologist and taught pupils about tides and marine biodiversity.

Standardised tests will be administered to all pupils from 1st-6th class over the coming weeks, please ensure your child is present, except for illness. The results of these will be recorded in your child’s school report. Reports will be sent home at the end of June.

One Good Idea 2018
Congratulations to our senior pupils who have made it to the semi-finals stage of the One Good Idea competition. Only 20 teams have been selected nationwide and 2 of them are from our school! Well done and keep up the great work!

Wear Orange Day 2017
Wear Orange Day takes place on Monday 8th May. Pupils may bring a donation to school to help raise funds for children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) in Ireland.

The All-Ireland Minor Schools Swimming Championship finals took place in the National Aquatic Centre, Blanchardstown on Sunday 12th February and our 4th class pupil, Lorraine Moran, participated in two swimming events. In the 50 metre Freestyle event, Lorraine secured a time of 39.01 sec and in the 50 metre backstroke event, she secured a time of 44.95sec. Congratulations to Lorraine Moran, 4th class, who won a bronze medal in the Connacht Minor Schools Swimming Championship in Athlone recently. Lorraine finished in 3rd place in the U.10 Freestyle 50m swimming event. This secures Lorraine a place in the All-Ireland Minor Schools Championship in Dublin. Lorraine also qualified for the U.10 backcrawl 50m swimming event coming in 5th place.
