Bug Hotel

We are currently constructing a ‘bug hotel’ in conjunction with our Green Flag for Biodiversity. We are looking for donations of materials to help build our bug hotel. All old pipes, red bricks, logs, old phone books, slates etc would be greatly appreciated.


Christmas Show

Cameron Christmas show will take place in Rahara N.S. on 10th December. The Board of Management will cover the cost of the show for pupils.


Gaelic Training

Gaelic training will resume on Wednesdays in Spring 2013.


School News

There will be a mass in Rahara church on Friday 21st December to celebrate Ms. Harlow’s retirement. All family members and past pupils are invited. There will be refreshments for all in our school following mass. We thank Ms. Harlow for her hard work and dedication to the school, its pupils and the Board of Management. We wish Marian health and happiness in her retirement.



There has been a big improvement in school uniforms. Well done to all.


Community News

“The Story of Christmas in Music and Carols” will take place in St. John’s Community Centre, Lecarrow on December 16th at 7.00 p.m. All community members are welcome to join the group. Rehearsal will take place in the Community Centre at 3.00 p.m. this Sunday 9th December.


Dates for your Diary

The school will close for Christmas on Friday 21st December at 12.00 noon and will re-open on Monday 7th January 2013.

First Holy Community will take place in Rahara Church on Sunday 5th May 2013 at 10.00 a.m.

Confirmation will take place in Knockcroghery church on Wednesday 10th April 2013 at 11.00 a.m.

We are having an Advent prayer service in school on Thursday 13th December. Bridgeen Regan, our catechist, will lead the prayer service.
