Standardised Tests

Standardised tests will be administered to all pupils from 1st-6th class over the coming weeks, please ensure your child is present, except for illness. The results of these will be recorded in your child’s school report. Reports will be sent home at the end of June.


Cumann na mBunscol County Finals

Rahara NS Hurling team will play against Attyrory NS in the County finals of the Cumann na mBunscol 2 Teacher schools competition in Tisrara on Thurs 24th May at 3:30pm. All supporters are welcome to come along to cheer for our team. We will need parents to help with lifts to the finals.


Referendum

School will close on Friday 25th May to facilitate for the upcoming referendum as our school is a designated polling station. 


SEAI Workshop

Lorraine Flanagan, SEAI, will visit our school on Wed 30th May to carry out an energy workshop with all pupils.


Children First-Safeguarding Training

Mr. McCormack will attend the new Children First Safeguarding training in Athlone Education Centre on Thursday 31st May. Ms. Louise Finneran will teach the Junior classes on the day.


Garda Visit

Garda John O’Connor, Community Policing, will visit the senior pupils on 30th May to discuss road safety and online safety.



Sports Day

Our annual Sports Day will take place on Tuesday 12th June, weather permitting. The pupils will be treated to Supermac’s on the day.


End-of-Year Play

A production of ‘Charlotte Holmes-Future Detective’ will take place in Culleen Hall on Thursday 28th June at 6:30pm. The show should last approx. one hour.

Dress rehearsals will take place in Cullen Hall on Tue 26th, Wed 27th & Thurs 28th June. Pupils must be collected from Cullen Hall at 3pm on these days.


Homework Club

We would like to thank parents for supporting our Homework Club over the past academic year. There will be no Homework Club the last week of June, due to afternoon rehearsals in Cullen Hall.



Summer Holidays

School will close for the Summer holidays on Friday 29th June at 12:30pm. School will re-open on Thursday 30th August for Term 1 2018/201
